Full Biography

NAH (Nicole Humphrey) is a multidisciplinary visual artist and entrepreneur whose work spans creative writing, pattern illustration, and iPhone photography, documenting, depicting, and detailing the world through themes of introspection, identity, mental health, space, and time.

As Founding Partner & Resident Artist at Black Figure Bureau, NAH brings an artist's precision and a producer's strategic vision to every initiative BFB undertakes. Her dual role as both a practicing artist and an organizational leader gives the Bureau a rare perspective, one that centers the artist experience in every curatorial and business decision.

Her solo exhibition 'The Lines That Don't Connect,' presented at Semicolon Bookstore & Gallery, established her as a significant voice in Chicago's contemporary art scene. The show explored the invisible architecture of human connection, rendered through her distinctive visual language of pattern, photography, and text.

NAH has developed brand collaborations with Apple, Soho House, and LVMH, bringing her visual practice into dialogue with some of the world's most influential cultural and luxury brands. As a producer and curator, she is focused on scale of impact and intentional growth, creating transformative experiences that elevate the Chicago arts agenda and position the city as a global hub for contemporary Black art.
